Ethypharm is a specialty pharmaceutical company with prominent products in targeted Central Nervous System (CNS) indications, notably severe pain, and opioid dependency, as well as a wide range of high-quality injectable medicines for hospitals and emergency situations.

Our Spanish commercial affiliate is based in Madrid with two manufacturing sites located in Bernedo and Casarrubios, which offer a wide range of injectable forms, including flexible plastic bags, liquid vials, lyophilized vials and ampoules.

Within the Pharmaceutical & Medical Affairs department, and more specifically the Corporate Pharmaceutical Quality System Department, we are recruiting a new Supply Chain Manager.

This position, with its rich and varied missions, will enable you to get involved in the supply chain system activities of our Spanish affiliate, Altan. You will contribute your expertise to the Ethypharm Group, which is expanding rapidly, and to the team, in an international environment.

The position will be based at our offices in Madrid.


Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Director with key accountabilities of ensuring that the Spanish Supply Chain is fully integrated into the Group and Spanish matrix structures; local accountability to Manage the Spanish Supply Chain to ensure that products are delivered to customers on time, in full and in a manner compliant with the appropriate regulatory standards.

Directs Spanish affiliates overall supply chain operations, supporting the sales for Iberian Market, strategic planning (S&OP), forecast management, inventory management, and distribution of finished goods.

The role holder is responsible for :

  • Middle and long planning (Sales &Operation planning),
  • Forecasting management,
  • Inventory management,
  • Supporting the sales for Iberian Market,
  • Link with plant for production scheduling,
  • Follow-up of action plan and continuous improvement,
  • Key performance indicators,
  • Organizing and delegating work to the team members within the Spanish Supply Chain department. The role will ensure the individuals are motivated to contribute to the effectiveness of the overall team targets / services, and the wider business objectives.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

Finance

  • To develop strategic and tactical budgets for the Spanish Supply Chain that seek to ensure on time and in full supply is cost effective.
  • Responsible for ensuring team productivity and efficiencies.
  • Develop, promote and implement the application of continuous improvement processes as a means of effective productivity improvement.

Customer

  • Manage the deliverables of the Supply Chain program as per the agreed Group & Spanish targets and milestones.
  • Responsible for interpreting and communicating the Key Performance Indicators of the Spanish Supply Chain to line management in Group and to the Spanish General Manager
  • Leverage available resources and set the benchmark for project management, planning and execution using Lean, ‘right first time’ approaches to eliminate waste and failure.
  • Promote and develop tight integration between planning, logistics and other operations areas and optimize performance in schedule attainment, adherence and on time delivery.

Process

  • Manage the on-going management and effectiveness of the S&OP program locally
  • Effective supervision of the administration and work activities of the department to ensure tasks are being delivered on time and in budget
  • Manage resources to maximize department’s effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Provide positive input into improving department’s customer value
  • Ensure departmental adherence to all relevant SOP’s

People

  • Responsible for interviewing and selection of departmental staff
  • Provide staff with appropriate training, motivation and coaching development to achieve effective performance standards and personal growth through training promise
  • Ensure all personal development and training needs are prioritized and progressed to meet individual and business needs
  • Provide communication of targets and strategies to all departmental members.
  • Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation are in place.

Specific Departmental Functions

  • Responsible for providing concise and clear information and data to the department’s customers
  • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations, company policies and procedures and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards with business contacts.
  • Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Create, implement and refresh the functional strategic plan and implement appropriate programs to address evolving business requirements or issues, collaborating with Group and other supply chain partners.
  • Constantly review external trends and identify internal opportunities for continuous improvement.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the Supply Chain in the Spanish Leadership Team

Requirements

Educational Level

· University degree (logistic, Supply Chain)

· APICS Certification

Experience

  • At least 8 to 10 years' experience in Supply Chain management with international subsidiaries
  • 5 years in pharmaceutical industries

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of industrial processes
  • Expertise of the technical aspects of sales administration, logistics and S&OP management
  • Expertise of the technical aspects of stock management
  • Expertise of forecasting management
  • English speaker
  • French speaker

·ERP expertise with SAP or Sage
