We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as Pharmacist - Professional Support Advisor. Based in Sydney, this is a part time role working 2.5 days per week and is for a fixed term period of two years.

Reporting to the NSW State Manager the Pharmacist – Professional Support Adviser will be responsible for providing practice advice to NSW pharmacists involved in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), as well as promoting PSA products and services.
To succeed in this role you will be an APHRA registered Pharmacist with current or recent experience providing OTP services in NSW, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSW OTP program.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide practice support and advice to PSA members in line with agreed KPIs in a professional and timely manner with accurate responses for:
- Practice-related queries related to the NSW OTP program;
- Practice related queries related to the APF, professional practice standards and guidelines, competency standards;
- Ethics related queries including code of ethics and/or ethical dilemmas;
- Technical queries about medicines, compounding and medicine availability;
- Regulatory queries about legislation and policy matters;
- Registration queries including CPD requirements and AHPRA requirements;.
- Triage queries and issues internally or externally to other organisations in line with PSA policies and procedures including escalation, regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Undertake mandatory reporting to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as required.
- Contribute to the development, validation and moderation of learning materials, including online modules, webinars and articles.
- Contribute to policy and advocacy work, to grow and maintain membership and to deliver member services.
- Update website content, policies, guidelines and other materials for currency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a directory of appropriate government bodies and other authorities around Australia to support the triage process.
- Prepare reports and provide advice to product managers, State/Territory Managers and other relevant stakeholders on emerging issues, opportunities and threats to the pharmacy profession and PSA activities.
- Promote PSA products and services to members and work with the Product Managers to identify opportunities for new products and markets based on collective intelligence built from customer calls.
- Pharmacist registered with AHPRA with current or recent pharmacy practice experience in any NSW practice setting.
- Current or recent experience providing OTP services in NSW, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSW OTP program.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues and opportunities in contemporary pharmacy practice and workforce development nationally.
- Demonstrated high level customer service orientation, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive relationships including effective conflict resolution, negotiation and de-escalation.
- Demonstrated analytical, research and problem solving skills including skills in interpreting health-related information and presenting information and arguments clearly and concisely.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage competing priorities to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound IT skills including competency including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective team member as well as work independently.
