BASIC SALARY: Up to A GBP 68,000 (including car allowance) dependant on your relevant experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Production Manager, Operations Manager : Chemical Manufacturing, COMAH, DSEAR, Lean
Our new Production Manager will face plenty of operational challenges leading our production department at our COMAH site in Derbyshire.
Your team will have over 20 Production Operators (indirect reports), your direct reports will be Production Planners and your Production Supervisors / Team Leader.
The team vary in their experience and longevity with us. One of your first challenges will be to harmonise the production team who need a great leader.
You will report directly into our Plant Manager and will have full autonomy for all production related operations including chemical manufacturing and production planning.
You will ensure a safe working environment for everyone and champion lean manufacturing.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Manager, Operations Manager : Chemical Manufacturing, COMAH, DSEAR, Lean
A Lead the production team within the production facility : this will include machine operators, supervisors, team leaders and production planners
A Achieve operational KPIs relating to production, quality and stock levels
A Develop a harmonised team who collaborate to achieve their own personal goals
A Drive Health and Safety including MAPP
A Ensure our site adheres to the relevant standards for COMAH and IPPC directives
A Drive Lean manufacturing
YOUR BACKGROUND: Production Manager, Operations Manager : Chemical Manufacturing, COMAH, DSEAR, Lean
You Will
A Have managed a chemical production facility before in a suitable similar role which includes production planning under your remit : ideally it will have been a COMAH site
A Understand chemical processing machinery, equipment and associated systems
A Be a strong leader and able to demonstrate where you have developed your production team
A Have a strong understanding of safety : you will likely hold an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification too
A Be able to show where you have championed lean manufacturing
